As a carbon planner and cost consultant, I spent countless hours calculating the carbon footprints of buildings. But no matter how efficient the modelling got, one challenge kept coming up: finding low-carbon materials. The data was fragmented, documents were buried in different places, and making sense of it all took far too long. It made sustainable decision-making more complex than it needed to be.

I realised I wasn't the only one facing this problem. So instead of waiting for a better solution, I decided to build it myself. I envisioned a single, trustworthy platform that brings together verified data, practical insights, and access to sustainable materials - all in one place. A tool made for people like me, working to decarbonise the built environment.

That's how Low Carbon Materials Hub began - driven by the idea that shifting to low carbon construction should be easier, faster, and smarter.
